Vanessa Hammond & Health Coops, Bobby Arbess & the Walbran Valley for WOC Dec 3 2015

Vanessa Hammond is a longtime Co-op sector liasion.  She’s current a board member with the Victoria Community Health Cooperative and Founding Chair of the Health Care Cooperatives Federation of Canada working with a range of health cooperatives across Canada. Then, Chris Cook with a “What in the World” update. Finally, Bobby Arbess (aka Reuben Garbanzo) is a gardener and musician who has been working for social and environmental justice over decades.  He’s currently very concerned at the potential loss of some of the earth’s last remaining ancient temperate rainforest.  Known as the Walbran Valley, and revered by many around the world, it sits outside official park boundaries and is currently threatened by logging corporation Teal Jones who have received an injunction to proceed with their destructive plans despite the public outcry.
