Drawing the Line in the Walbran Valley

On August 22nd, the Friends of Carmanah Walbran hosted a day of education in the unprotected Walbran Valley.  Corporate held-loggers Teal Jones are waiting for permission from the BC Government to kill some of the largest western red cedar trees on the planet, for profit.  Vancouver Islanders who appreciate the importance of ancient forest ecosystems, who travel to the Walbran Valley for spiritual renewal, and who are determined to stop the continued destruction of this beautiful place, contributed to this audio.  Among the voices are former Minister of Environment David Anderson, former Green Party of Canada leader Joan Russow and Elder Bill Jones from the Pacheedaht Nation.  Click here to see photos from the day’s event.
