Darren Alexander and Media Democracy Days, Chris Cook with What in the World, Richard Boyce’s “Coastal Tar Sands – Journey to the Depleted Islands.”

Darren Alexander teaches Communications at Royal Roads University, and he’s launching Victoria’s first Media Democracy Days June 6th.  Darren talks about why he believes it’s so important to consider some alternatives to the dominant traditional media sources.  Chris Cook brings us up to date with some of the good, and not so good, news in his “What in the World” segment.  And Richard Boyce tells us what inspired him to get in his kayak and film his most recent documentary titled “Coastal Tar Sands – Journey to the Depleted Islands” showing at the Cinecenta May 14th.
