Jonathan Balcombe’s Minding Nemo, Joel Bernbaum and Home is a Beautiful Word

Ethologist Jonathan Balcombe is working on a new book, all about fishes.  Today he shares some of the astounding scientific findings proving that fish are each individuals, sentient beings with memory and the ability to recognize each other, they feel pleasure and pain, and have at least 5 senses.  In the second half, Joel Bernbaum is wrapping up years of human research in a play that utilizes a technique called “Verbatim Theatre.”  It’s called “Home is a Beautiful Word,” and it’s perhaps the most comprehensive look at the big issue of housing and homelessness that our tourist city has ever seen.
