Protecting Shawnigan Lake (Shelagh Bell-Irving) and Bearing Witness to the Annual Dolphin Slaughter (with Melissa Sehgal and Sea Shepherd) for WOC Sept 13 13

Storing toxic waste above Shawnigan Lake is not an idea that long time resident Shelagh Bell-Irving and the Shawnigan Residents Association endorses.  We discuss who’s behind this decision, who will profit from it, and the generations that will suffer when all the watersheds are poisoned.  In the second half Melissa Sehgal, Cove Guardian Senior Campaign Leader with the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.  Melissa is in Taiji Japan until March bearing witness to the annual dolphin slaughter and capture at Taiji Japan.  And, Eric Nordal from Social Coast with an update on some activist activities around town in the upcoming month.
