November 11 MacKenzie-Papineau Remembrance

Every year, a group of stalwarts stand at the statue, ‘Spirit of the Republic’ to honour the memory of those Canadians who faced the Fascist threat in Spain. It is in the spirit of peace and hope for the end of militarism the commemorators brave the chill winds of November and give speeches remembering their, and their family’s experiences of war.
