Winds of Change May 10 2012: David Johnston, Public Forum about the Sale of City Land

Connecting the “Right to Sleep” movement with the “Occupy” and other social justice efforts across Canada, David Johnston will leave June 1st for a hitch-hiking adventure across Canada.  He’s scheduled to stop in several Canadian cities, and talk with whoever’s interested about the BC Supreme Court Decision that found a city bylaw in violation of Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms.  In the second half, recorded audio from a public hearing held last night in Victoria, to discuss process and procedure (or lack thereof) surrounding the sale of city lands.  You can read a written review of the forum here, and access files (including maps, and the ‘best practices’ presentation) here.
