Winds of Change March 28th 2012: Sandra Finley and Mercury Poisoning, Art Farquharson and the Corporate Piggy Awards

Saskatoon’s Mercury Jamboree this weekend will feature information and speakers pertaining to the growing body of evidence that suggests the mercury/amalgam fillings, that many of us still have in our mouths, are highly toxic and detrimental to our personal and collective environmental health.  Sandra Finley, formerly head of Saskatchewan’s Green Party, has taken on many activist causes including Statistics Canada’s connection to the military giant Lockheed Martin, the most recent robo-call federal election scandal, and she has personal experience with mercury poisoning which has led her to a multitude of information about its health impacts.  Sandra Finley in the first half.  In the second half, Art Farquharson, one of the founders of the Corporate Golden Piggy Awards, now in its 15th year, talks about the Piggy Awards, and about some of Vancouver Island’s own corporate history deserving of appropriate recognition.  Art brought his guitar, and shared a couple of his favourite songs.
