Winds of Change – Dec 22 2011 – Charles Wilkinson (Peace Out) and Mutiny Commemoration

Peace Out won most popular documentary film at the 2011 Vancouver Film Festival.  Its director, Charles Wilkinson, talks about his journey as a filmmaker, and shares stories about the film and what he learned about Canada’s North, fast becoming excessively industrialized.  The film’s trailer is available online here, and it will be shown in Victoria at the University of Victoria’s Cinecenta on January 19th, 2012.  In the second half, a rebroadcast from the December 21st commemoration of soldiers who mutinied in Victoria in 1918, refusing to go to Russia to assist in stopping their socialist revolution.
