Winds of Change Nov 24 2011 – Bill Carroll and Social Justice Studies, Lee Hall and Animal Rights

UVic’s Social Justice Studies program intends “to provide students with a thorough understanding of the range of ways in which scholars, researchers and activists address and engage with issues surrounding social injustices and initiatives promoting social justice in the contemporary world.”  Bill Carroll is one of the founding directors of the program, and we discuss the theme of social justice in the context of the global people’s revolution.  In the second half a rebroadcast from June 2010 with Lee Hall, animal rights lawyer and advocate working with the Friends of Animals organization.
