Winds of Change July 21 2011 – Chilean Torture Ship Not Wanted in Victoria Waters; Tahrir Peace Ship Not Wanted by Israel

Amnesty International’s Melaney Black explains why Chilean torture ship La Esmeralda is not welcome in Victoria’s harbour, and collective efforts to uninvite it.  Should the ship be allowed to dock, activists are planning peaceful non-violent demonstrations and information sessions for the week of August 1-5th.   In the second half, Jase Tanner talks about his experiences attempting to leave Greek harbour aboard the Tahrir, Canada’s boat to Gaza.  (BTW, when I said “horrible things have happened to horrible people,” I meant to say “horrible things have happened to good people.”  And no, I don’t think there’s anything Freudian about that.)
