homelessness marathon – pre edit, full audio

In preparation for the annual Homelessness Marathon, I chatted with a few different people who happened to be at Our Place one day.  There are many many more people I could have spoken with, you can see photos of some of them here.  Unfortunately, Victoria is a Canadian city with a very large homeless population but fortunately, there’s also a very vibrant community of advocates concerned about the growing gap between wealthy and poor, and how that’s affecting our collective quality of life.  This audio will be edited down to five minutes for the marathon, but is published here in its entirety – about 35 minutes.  Music from The Bangles.
