Winds of Change – Tamara Herman and Plenty’s Paradox, Ben Isitt, Mickey Z

Just returned from Africa where they were documenting peoples’ reactions to mining, Tamara Herman and Susi Porter-Bopp are now in production thanks to their recent Cuban Hat victory.  In addition to the complexities surrounding the exploitation of African people and the earth, they want Canadians to know how we’re complicit via our taxes, pensions, and bank accounts.  They’re hoping to release Plenty’s Paradox: A Documentary on Canadian Mining Companies in Africa next year sometime.  Then, a look at some local Victoria concerns with Historian and City Councillor Ben Isitt, and an update from Occupy Sandy Activist Mickey Z in Astoria, New York.
